The Search is On

If it isn’t evident, there are many of us seeking and searching for more.

We search on even if we do not quite know what that ‘more’ is.

It may be masked as more; money, time, purpose, meaning, agreement, connection, clients, health, truth, love, peace, clarity, direction, commitment, discipline, results, promotions, and on.

The efforts and lengths we will embrace and navigate on a seemingly never-ending search for the elusive ‘more’.

At times, we find what we have been seeking.

Others, we find what we believe it was, only to realize we were looking in the wrong direction.

Others still, as we receive what we have been seeking, we are on to the next endeavor, mission, path, and aim.

There’s a pull that unites and invites us forward. Even when that unity looks anything but.

There’s a pull, an inner sense, that says we can be more. Our skills and capacity to discover a way forward vary and are diverse.

And amongst the disagreements, turmoil, hope, aspiration, and determination, we need one another — to move forward in a way our successors would be grateful for.
